Palers' events in Croydon, 25 May 2002

To celebrate Procol Harum's concert on 25 May, exactly 35 years on from their conquest of the UK charts with A Whiter Shade of Pale, 'Beyond the Pale' invites all fans to two special social events: The Palers' Fair and 'One More Toast'. One ticket will get you in to both events, and we are of course opening the booking at 'Beyond the Pale', before offering tickets to the public via the Fairfield Halls. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

• The Palers' Fair

From 3 pm to 6 pm, fans will gather in the Fairfields Halls, in a privately-hired meeting-place. At the Palers' Fair you will find the Shine On Stall, where you can acquire all the latest Procol merchandise – we are hoping there will be some special surprises – at a discount price. This will enable you to wear the newly-designed 2002 tour tee-shirt to the gig in the evening, where it will also be on sale to the general public at a higher price.

• 'One More Toast'

This will be a prestigious and unique Champagne Reception, directly after the Procol gig in the evening, in a very nice privately-hired room with licensed paying bar within the Fairfield Halls where the band is playing. Procol fans will gather, until 12.30 am, to celebrate exactly 35 years of A Whiter Shade of Pale – and to drink 'One More Toast' to Procol Harum … whom we have of course invited to join us.
