No Stiletto Shoes and Fans

Christmas Lunch, 18 December 2004

BtP promised Charlie Allison that the assembled revellers would raise a wee glass to him and to others unable to make the journey to hear Gary's 'Other Band' on this remarkable extended weekend. We kept our word, as may be seen:

At The Sun, a village pub near Chiddingfold, fans sat down to eat with the Shoes;
here Jens, Stefano, Andrea and Jill raise a toast to Charlie and other absent friends

And here are Linda, One-Eye, Hans, Daniela and Peter: five nations represented by ten individuals (Roland not pictured)

And Jens greatly enhanced the gaiety of the occasion by inflating, in a single attempt, a party balloon
(pictured) until it exploded – Stefano clearly anticipates this – prompting Dave Bronze to quip
'Was that one of ours?'

Allen in merry banter with Hans Volkhardt ... bottom left, this website, in portable form

The webmasters talking about their respective grandchildren, probably!

Stefano and Andrea ponder the mysteries of British jokes as found in crackers
(background figures include the waiter, Mrs Frank Mead, and Franky Brooker's nephew François)

Set the controls for the heart (etc etc)
