Soundcheck notes The soundcheck was more or less just a soundcheck. Hardly any songs played fully: A Rum Tale / Piper's Tune / Pinball Wizard / All this and More / Broken Barricades / This World is Rich / Kaleidoscope / Emperors New Clothes / Perpetual Motion / 'Shalimar' from Whaling Stories (to test vocals) / VIP Room (to test vocals) / Simple Sister / Skating on Thin Ice / Fires (Which Burnt Brightly) / Seagulls for A Salty Dog / Thunder for In Held Gary played pieces from The Worm and the Tree on the piano. After the soundcheck Gary was interviewed by a local TV station while sitting at the piano. Josh was VERY pleased with the Hammond, one of the best he'd ever played. And very nice looking also, beautiful polish. Josh told me he had some problems with the Hammond the day before in Tromsø. Also they did some monitor checking at the start of the concert. Gary made sure everybody could hear his voice in the monitors. 'You can't play Procol Harum music without hearing the words. Won't know where to put in certain bits and pieces' |

Jens reports: 'An excellent performance by a band in very good mood. Much entertaining talk by Gary between the songs. Repent Walpurgis was one of the best performances I've ever heard. Josh did some excellent variations. He later commented to BtP: 'I didn't remember how the song was going at that point, so I just tried to sound like Bach'' |
