A tribute to Beverly Peyton

Gary Brooker

Beverly with Gary at The Bottom Line in 2003I was devastated when Roland passed on the news of Bev's illness, and I spoke to Bev's brother Michael but thought we had more time – sadly not.

She has been in our thoughts the past few days and suddenly it's time to say goodbye for now.

Bev was a great fan, supportive, and always enjoying the music and wanting to learn more about the players at every turn.

I met her when she had the "Procol Hairum" salon in Riverdale NY in the early 70s, and no one else has ever done my hair (not up to challenge!). When she moved to Florida we stayed in touch and kept the hair going.

Beverly would write every so often with news of sport, which she loved, or live music events she'd seen, and I loved hearing about Florida life and weather.

She was very concerned about the recent court case and gave a lot of support to the ongoing PH life. Her love of the music and the band was unconditional and everlasting.

A wonderful lady I will miss – forever.
