Sam Cameron's Procolpaedia

U

URIAH HEEP
UK band with considerable world wide appeal in the 70s. Their organ-dominated sound was on the boundary between prog rock
and heavy metal. Their albums have slightly more explicit magical references than Procol Harum, for example Demons and Wizards was followed by The Magician's Birthday.

There is a very slender suspicion that leader Ken Hensley may have had some involvement in providing backing on the Shine on Brightly sessions. Uriah Heep internet fans once polled A Salty Dog into their list of favourite albums by others. Reciprocation at procol@.progrock.org does not seem all that likely.
