Unfortunately I was not able to attend the concert. It was originally announced that GB wouldn't be there due to the Procol Harum tour but it turned out that he was there anyway. When I found out, I had made other plans for the evening that is the start of a bank holiday in Denmark.
Members of the band signed autographs in a local record shop called Fredgaard. That special branch of Fredgaard (a chain shop specialising in hi-fi equipment) has a terrific CD department with many special imports such as the Procol Harum reissues. Currently, it is one of the very best record shops in Aarhus. (below: Georgie Fame, Beverley Skeete, Gary Brooker)
Anyway – I caught Gary on my digicam: as you can see, Gary is wearing a tee-shirt from the Procol Harum event in 1996. The autograph-signing was a very relaxed affair with the musicians talking to the fans. I arrived just before it ended, but unfortunately Gary was very busy talking to Georgie Fame when I approached him.
