1969 Procol Harum : Staple Singers Poster
You could have bought this collector's item online from BtP
On 21 March 1969 Procol Harum played the Auditorium Theatre, Chicago, with the Staple Singers, The Cryan' Shames, and Rotary Connection. Procol came to Chicago hot-foot from two Fillmore East dates on March 14 & 15 (thanks, Frans).
Gary Brooker was so delighted to have played with the Staple Singers that he kept a number of the period-psychedelic full-colour posters (26 x 34 cm) which have been preserved in mint condition for the intervening 31 years.
In order to help BtP pay for the Palers' Convention in Guildford, Gary kindly presented us with ten copies to dispose of to collectors.
Following the auction of one poster at Guildford, BtP sold remainder to defray Convention expenses, and with any luck to start funding the next one!
The price, in a stout protective tube, was 25 US dollars per poster (+ postage)
Sold out, 2 February 2001
