Where were you?

I know that many people can recall where they were when Diana was killed, or JFK, or when the Challenger blew up ... and one monumental moment for me was when I read that Procol Harum was back!

I was working in Atlanta, Georgia, teaching a class for IBM, when I opened the USA Today newspaper that had been delivered to my hotel room.

• HELLO AGAIN: The latest '60s band to reunite and test the classic rock waters is Procol Harum (Whiter Shade of Pale, Conquistador), which plans a new album and tour. Original members Gary Brooker, Matthew Fisher, Keith Reid and Robin Trower, together for the first time in more than 20 years, have recorded The Prodigal Stranger, due Aug 27. A single, All Our Dreams Are Sold, hits the radio later this month. A tour is planned to begin after Labor Day.

I was shocked. I hadn't seen, heard or read anything of PH for many years. I believed I would never hear of them again, except perhaps, in a dictionary of Rock and Roll in a local bookstore.
