Original Sin ...

Two post-PH Reid lyrics on one CD

Keith Reid fans will want to look out for a 1997 CD entitled SAS Band, a Chris Thompson star-studded ensemble: catalogue number Bridge BRGCD25. Thompson is of course one of the writing collaborators on The Prodigal Stranger.

Thompson sings Reid's big No 1 hit, You're The Voice, with bagpipes by Helen McGrath and keyboards by, among others, Richard Cottle whose brother Laurence played bass with Procol Harum in 1992.

There's another Reid composition on it called Original Sin, written with keyboard player Spike Edney, guitarist Jamie Moses and Thompson himself. The song was recorded in June 1995 and was the first song The SAS Band wrote together.

If someone would like to send us the words of Original Sin that would be very welcome!

Thanks for information, Frans Steensma
