explicitly credited as lyricist
- There is no translation of the famously-gnomic 'To be listened
to in the spirit in which it was made' rubric
- The track-listing departs from the original: Conquistador
is demoted from opener to penultimate position, replacing Good
Captain Clack, which is not featured at all; Homburg is
added in place of Conquistador; and, oddliest of all,
Shine on Brightly, in its Italian manifestation, is untimely
inveigled between She Wandered Through the Garden Fence and
Something Following Me.
- Mogol is the Italian lyricist who prepared the new words for
Shine on Brightly (read them here ...
they're not a translation)
- Dossena is the translator (or rather supplanter) of two words
('Repent' and 'Walpurgis'), who therefore shares the track's
royalties with Matthew Fisher. 'Fortuna' means 'fate'. But why stop
there? Surely each song could have been retitled, to line Dossena's
pockets further?
