Christmas Quizzes 2017–2018

Question of the Day (solved): 29 December

Useful resources

Anagrams | Songs on Novum | Japanese Novum

Tonight's topic is
Names or titles

The answer is   Tallest Coachmen, Sunbeam Sins, Red Soil, Oily Duo (not), No Hour, Megabit Oaf Sheet, Huge Robin, Hens Meow, Helen Tony, Gut-Thong Cadet, Chatty Satan, Annoying Drums
Last Chance Motel, Businessman, Soldier, I Told on You, Honour, Image of the Beast, Neighbour, Somewhen, [Helen Tony is not an anagram of a 'Novum' song title], Don't Get Caught, Can't Say That, Sunday Morning

Choose the question below that is most applicable to the answer above. Make a note of the Question Number

Q05a

Give a catalogue of song-titles that were considered for the Novum album
Procol have had some peculiar song-titles, but surely common sense rules out 'Megabit Oaf Sheet' and several others

Q05b

Give a list of anagrams of the titles of all the songs released worldwide, from the Novum sessions, by Procol Harum
Might be true, if 'The Only One' were not on the album

Q05c

Give an inventory of anagrams of the titles of almost all the songs released worldwide, from the Novum sessions, by Procol Harum
This seems to fit the list pretty well

Q05d

Guess the names or subjects of the XII paintings that were hanging in the vocal booth where Procol recorded Novum.
Again, common sense says that there were no paintings hanging in the vocal booth, and that 'Gut-Thong Cadet' is an unlikely title anyway. And there's a much more sensible answer above
