Christmas quizzes 2013/14

5 January: the last question, and what to do next

Question 12 Six possible answers

The last time Procol Harum played A Whiter Shade of Pale was near Horam in 2013 (clip here, 18 October; edited for length … but the whole song was played on the night). They had one missing person, so a member of the Palers’ Band was co-opted to lend a hand to the best of his or her abilities. Who was this interloper?

Listen carefully, and a good clue … for search-engine purposes ... comes at the very end of the clip.

Antonio Costa Barbé (Italy), piano and vocal
Elizabeth Bryson (USA), guitar
Jens Anders Ravnaas (Norway), drums
Roland Clare (UK), bass guitar
Thelonious Monk (d. 1982), Hammond
Thomas Raa Olsen (Denmark), words

You'll also need to look at our fab prizes and decide which one you most favour ... you'll need to let us know the full preference-order of all ten eg [GAHBICJDEF]

Once you have solved this simple question, you'll need to look carefully at your printed-out answers (pdf here), so make sure you have them to hand; then click on this link to proceed.

In the unlikely event of there being fewer winners than prizes this year, early claimants will get more than their fair share!  Prizes will of course be awarded at the absolute discretion of Roland and Jens, who run 'Beyond the Pale', and whose decision will be final; their families are not eligible to enter. Thanks to Jane Clare, from Perth in WA, once again our helpful and constructive guinea-pig for the whole puzzle-sequence.
