From the
private collection of Dave Ball – ex-Procol Harum Lead Guitarist: a set
of 35 original prints from the Grand Hotel album cover shoot.
These are the only ones extant, the negatives having been mislaid years
ago.
The photographs were largely taken by Iris Jordan using Dave Ball's
camera. They are all 10 x 8 inches (approx 25 x 20 cm)
Also
included in sale: an original cover from Cashbox showing Procol
Harum with the photo title: "Procol Harum – Conquistadorable"
(probably 12 x 8 inches).
A new copy of the Grand Hotel 40-year anniversary release, signed by Dave and including some of the photographs in the collection.

You can make a bid via telephone to the auctioneers or indeed make telephone bids live on the day.
All
proceeds will be put towards Dave's continued attempts to make music (if
that is a "good" cause remains to be seen!). If the winner of the
auction is a Paler – ie somebody who has found out about the sale via
www.procolharum.com, or from BtP's
Procol Facebook
page, then they will receive a pre-release copy of Dave's new CD
album, Don't Forget Your Alligator. (second place gets two
copies, etc ....)
I doubt this auction will break the bank, so don't be scared about
having a go.
