Band du Lac : Wintershall, 4 June 2011

Gary Brooker, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Lulu ... and many others

One last time, Gary Brooker MBE will be presenting a round-up of his most illustrious musical contacts, for a fine evening of music: and all for charity.

"It will be the usual Wintershall set-up,’ Gary told BtP by telephone. 'No Stiletto Shoes (the Christmas 2010 line-up) with augmented brass in the form of Nick Pentelow on sax and trumpeter Matt Winch. The same backing vocals as at Wintershall before. It seems like an age-old veterans’ association line-up: and it's certainly 'Last Chance to See' (I'm quoting Douglas Adams) this particular group of stars, in this lovely setting.' The whole event is in aid of Heart and Stroke Trust Endeavour (HASTE). The Band du Lac will perform alongside special guests (some playing with their own bands, some guesting with the core band):

Kiki Dee
Roger Taylor
Jeff Beck
Eric Clapton
Lulu
Kiki Dee
Georgie Fame
Paul Carrack
Danielle de Niese
Kenney Jones and his Gang
Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir
...
with other guest stars to be announced

Gates open at 4 pm, and music starts at 5pm. 'The will be Huge Fireworks at midnight,' Gary promises.
