The Concert for George Harrison, 29 November 2002

Three Procolers at the Royal Albert Hall, London

Gary's R'n'B band, No Stiletto Shoes, was the House Band at the Memorial Concert for Beatle George Harrison, which took place on the anniversary of his death. George Harrison, of course, was one of the guitarists on the second Brooker solo album, Lead me to the Water, and Gary played on Harrison's No 1 hit, My Sweet Lord. See the setlist here, and read a review of the film here.

Please send in more cuttings and comments about this fine event: here's a start!

Click here and here to read the inner spread of the official programme, listing the participating artists and explaining something about Ravi Shankar's particular contribution to the evening. 'Our three Procolers GB, Bronzie and Henry acquitted themselves superbly!', we're told.
